DPS to Pugpig migration steps

We are working with our partners to provide a service to help Adobe DPS customers move from their existing DPS apps onto Pugpig. We have included below an overview of the main steps required.

Migration starts with a consultation to determine the right Pugpig product for your customer (with help from Pugpig team if required). Then it’s a simple process of switching over to our app container and setting up the authoring process:

Setting up the app container:

  1. Gather assets for app container (icons, fonts, logos, help images, brand colours, background images, copy for labels, settings, subscriptions)
  2. Confirm app config (bundle IDs, in-app purchases, existing authentication endpoints and Google Analytics keys)
  3. Set up and test DPS authentication  (if existing authentication is basic out of the box DPS version Pugpig only requires config and test users to set up but this will need to be discussed and checked with Pugpig first as it may include some custom work)
  4. Set up any new third party accounts (Quantcast, alternative push providers)
  5. Provide info to Pugpig so they can send iOS, Android and Web app containers
  6. Confirm who will re-sign the builds with necessary certificates and profiles
  7. Submit app to stores as app updates
