How to add Child Content Types

The use of child content types in this sense refers to content that is directly and only related to a parent node - and will be amalgamated into one HTML page by the template. This can be useful if you have:

  • A child content type that can be related to multiple parent content types
  • A parent content type that can handle an unlimited number of child nodes

You can configure the ability to add new child content types to the flatplan:

// List of content fields that can have child pages that are shown (and can be removed) from the flatplan
// Also used in the manifests for the parent pages
function {MODULE_NAME}_pugpig_content_fields_with_children() {
     return array('field_child_media', 'field_child_copy', 'field_child_article');
}
